A key step in designing a traffic calming program is to determine where traffic
calming devices are most needed and would be most effective in improving community
safety. The challenge every city faces is prioritizing the list of needs based on
factors such as speed, city and highway traffic volume and safety concerns as well
as pedestrian traffic, proximity to a school, church, community center or park.
By ranking these factors and assigning values to them for each area of need, a city

three mobility options:
- 1) relocating the radar speed sign between multiple pole locations using
our locking pole mount system

- 3) mounting the sign on a trailer hitch
With the locking
pole mount system the sign is secured with Radarsign's locking pole mount
bracket set, specifically designed to easily and safely secure the sign to multiple
pole or post locations. There are two pieces to the bracket, a pole mount component
and sign mount component. The back pole mount bracket attaches permanently to each
pole/post location. The front bracket attaches permanently to the radar speed sign.
The sign can then be moved to multiple pole locations that have a back pole mount
bracket installed. This model is ideal where multiple locations within an area are
desired or in locations that are not safe for radar speed trailers. The battery
powered model will run for up to full week, 24/7, on a single charge.

Mobile Patrol Stand. The Mobile Patrol stand is excellent for work zones
and locations that need municipal traffic calming and traffic calming on a temporary basis.
