As reported in the Suwanee Patch, the city of Suwannee began capturing drivers’ speed data in December 2010. Once operational, the signs were activated in stealth mode to allow Radarsign’s StreetSmart software to capture “before” data. The signs were then “turned on” for drivers to see their speeds, which allowed for the collection of the “after” data.
The data collected in Suwannee confirms that speeds decreased by up to five percent.
