2017: Radarsign Brand Radar Speed Signs Celebrates Record-Breaking, Year-Over-Year Sales for the 13th Consecutive Year

MARIETTA, Ga., January 25, 2018—In 2017, more law enforcement agencies, municipalities, corporate campuses and government entities than ever before trusted Radarsign® brand radar speed signs to make their streets safer. Radarsign is the manufacturer of the world’s first armored driver feedback signs, which are designed and manufactured in the USA. In 2017, the company saw year-over-year growth for the 13th consecutive year.

2017 growth and sales highlights include:

  • Total company revenue up 34 percent over 2016
  • Staff increase of 20 percent with additions in warehouse, production and software engineering
  • Exceptional growth in Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina and Oregon, each beating 2016 sales by more than 200 percent
  • Sales of the Radarsign TC-400—the portable radar speed sign—increased 65 percent over 2016
  • New corporate headquarters—In the third quarter , Radarsign relocated to a 70 percent larger facility to improve production efficiency and accommodate growth

One constant that has continued to fuel increased sales for Radarsign each year is repeat purchases from existing customers.

“Over the years, our customer satisfaction metrics have remained consistently high, says Charlie Robeson, co-founder and managing partner of Radarsign. “Repeat purchases come from a deep bench of satisfied customers who continue to look to us when they want to expand their fleet of radar speed signs. They represent 20 percent of our total business every year.”

Radarsign radar speed signs are effective because they leverage feedback loops, a concept which states that providing people with information about their actions in real time and giving them an opportunity to change those actions, pushes them toward better behaviors—action, information, reaction. In areas considered to be “autopilot journey” destinations, drivers often break the speed limit, brake too late or don’t stop at pedestrian crossings. Strategically placed, radar speed signs can serve as triggers, stimulating drivers to transition from autopilot to attentive.
